Who we are
Market-Research-Companies.in (“the directory”) is published by UX International LTD, 24-26 Arcadia Avenue, Finchley, London N3 2JU, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”), which is the controller of the personal data described below. Questions or requests about your data: contact@market-research-companies.in.
What we collect and why
Quote requests
When you request a quote, we collect your name, email, phone number (optional) and the description of your project. We send them to the company you selected (or to the companies you selected, for a request sent to several companies) so that they can answer you, and we keep a copy to prevent abuse and to follow up on the service. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in running the directory.
Reviews
When you write a review, we publish your name (as you typed it), your rating and your text after moderation. Your email address is never published; we use it only to check the review if needed. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in publishing genuine client feedback.
Company listings and accounts
Company listings contain business information (company name, address, phone, website, business email, description, services). When a company creates an account, we also store the name and login email of the person managing it, and a password in encrypted (hashed) form that we cannot read. Legal basis: the contract with the company (managing its listing) and our legitimate interest in keeping a complete directory.
Emails to companies
We may email the business address of a listed company to invite it to complete or update its listing, and send one reminder if a form is left unfinished. Every such email contains a link to stop receiving them, which we honour immediately.
Security
We record the IP address of form submissions for a limited time to prevent spam and abuse.
Who receives your data
- The company or companies you contact through the directory.
- Our technical providers, acting on our instructions: our web hosting provider, Mailjet (email delivery, European Union) and Google (Google Analytics, audience measurement).
We do not sell personal data. When data is transferred outside the UK or the European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards required by law (such as standard contractual clauses).
How long we keep it
- Quote requests: 3 years, then deleted.
- Reviews: published reviews stay online with the listing; rejected reviews are deleted after 1 year.
- Company accounts: as long as the account exists; unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days.
- Unfinished listing forms: up to 6 months.
- Unsubscribed email addresses: kept only to make sure we never email them again.
Cookies
- Necessary cookies (always on): a security cookie that protects our forms against forgery, and a session cookie when a company logs in to its account.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics measures how the directory is used (pages visited, country, device), with IP anonymisation. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell data.
You can turn off analytics on your browser at any time: . You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to contact@market-research-companies.in; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority of your country.
Companies can update or remove their listing at any time from their account, or by writing to us.
